Bon Jour Friends
Bon Jour friends, my name is Julie Hardridge and I am the sister of the one you all know as the Cheese Lady, Jill Erber, owner and proprietor of Cheesetique. I am currently living in France for the duration of six months while I study decorative painting at the Nadai-Verdon School in Penne D’Agenais and have been employed by Jill to be her in-France correspondent on French cheeses and cuisine (a.k.a. Cheese Sister in the Field). I have never been much of a foodie but I will do my best to bring you some interesting stories of my eating adventures here in France. Up to this point I have always been the one who scrapes the gooey part of the cheese from its moldy crust which I have never much favored. I have promised Jill that I will now eat all parts of the cheese, even those with hair on them. I have the delight of getting plenty of help from my French family here in Penne, Michel and Kyoko Nadai. Michel is a best craftsman of France in decorative painting and his wife Kyoko has been our invaluable translator since we have been here. I will do my best to provide you all with some interesting tales and tastings. Check this blog for up to date information and photographs documenting this adventure. For our first story we will be doing Fondue……
